Oh, Forgetful Me!

My life is pretty busy and just downright crazy!!! It just seems more and more is getting piled onto my plate.  Due to all of this I can not retain anything to memory. I write things down to remind me and end up losing the paper. Or would file the thought completely out of my mind so I would not remember to look at the paper at all. Due to this I found http://www.ohdontforget.com/.  I put in my cell number, the date and time I want a notice to be sent, and the message. I have the messages sent a day before so I have time to prepare. It is great reminder for appointments or simple things I just need to get done.

  1. Interesting idea...probably better than putting yellow stickies on your forehead.

  2. Thanks for the post. I added my husband's cell phone so he would not forget our anniversary that is coming up!

  3. It is funny that you made a post on forgetting things. My father and I were just having this conversation.

He thinks it is because of his age. I assured it wasn't that I to forget things too.

I am taking PSY421 and one of the assignments they ask us to do is a Season for Life response, which is from the PBS television series. You listen to a story and respond to it.

One in particular was of a 70 year old women who had just moved into a new house and could not remember where anything went.

So she went to the Dr. and he suggested to take a memory class. So to make a long story short, she said she found out that it wasn't that she was forgetful, just that her memory was full.

  4. My problem is not so much memory. It is actually paying attention to what's going on now. My mind typically wanders, and I often don't process something that someone just said (it could be I don't really care about what they have to say).

This makes it difficult to multitask, so I wonder if there are ways to correct my condition.

  5. Amanda, I totally understand you I always forget things. I actually have like five different calendars because I cannot never remember my appointments. Sometimes what I do is that I will post little notes around the house and that also helps. The confusing thing is that I have so many calendars I never know what exactly I am supposed to be doing. But this site sounds pretty cool I might give it a try!
